Requests, uploads & notes on data structuring

Do you already have information for parts lists or PCB specifications? Then upload it here.

From the parts list to the assembly plan to the PCB data and possible UL certification. If you already have data for a specific project, you've come to the right place. Please provide us with the information at an early stage so that we can process your inquiry and your project as quickly as possible.

To Upload

Our upload service offers many advantages, but above all it is simple, secure and fast. You can provide us directly with all the information relating to your project. For example, you don't need to worry about data volume limits in emails. It also makes it easier for us to give you specific feedback on your project. A win-win situation: you save yourself work and we can get straight down to ours.

The right documents for your project

In order to bring your project into series production as quickly as possible, we need some documents. Data such as the parts list, assembly plan or PCB specification are particularly important for us to be able to estimate the effort and costs for your product in the best possible way. We have therefore compiled the most important information we need to be able to respond quickly to your inquiry:

  1. What data is required for a bill of materials?
  2. What should the assembly plan contain?
  3. What does a PCB specification look like?
  4. Should your assembly be UL-certified later?

In addition to these necessary documents, the following data is very helpful in order to process your request promptly:

  • Sample assembly - please send it to us or include photos
  • Drawings for customized parts
  • Quotes - if you have offers from suppliers
  • Restrictions for purchasing - e.g. production of the PCB in certain countries, material procurement via brokers, etc.
  • Special mounting instructions - explicitly for mounting THT components vertically / horizontally / beaded / mounting on heat sink “KK02” with “screw1” = M3x6mm

1. Parts list: Contents & file format

The more information we receive from you at the start of the project, the better and more efficiently we can get started. It is therefore particularly important that parts lists are correct and complete. At best, a bill of material (BOM) contains the following information:

  • Quantity
  • Component reference
  • manufacturer
  • Article number of the manufacturer (MPN)
  • Article designation
  • Special notes (e.g. free choice of manufacturer, provision etc.)

You are welcome to add your internal article number (also CPN = Customer Part Number) to the parts list. This will speed up the creation of future quotations and parts lists. Internally, we can match our own article numbers with your CPN. In this way, we only have to link the articles once and can then automatically create links to our article designations.

In order to enable a free choice of manufacturer for passive components (e.g. resistors or capacitors), all key values of the article must be available in the parts list:

  • Resistors: Value / design / tolerance / temperature coefficient / power
  • Capacitors: Value / design / tolerance / dielectric strength / dielectric constant

2. The placement plan + pick & place

A precise placement plan shows the arrangement of the components on the assembly. We need this for our pick-and-place machines in PCB assembly. An assembly plan should contain the following information:

  • References: as legible as possible
  • Polarity of the components (e.g. pin 1, ground or cathode)

As part of an order, we also require the component center coordination for SMD / THT, also known as pick and place:

  • Component reference - conforming to the parts list
  • X- & Y-coordinate
  • Angle
  • layer
  • Design and value (optional)

Format: PDF

3. The data on the PCB

We need the information about your PCB, or PCB specification, in order to select the right PCB for your product.

4. Documents for UL certification

For UL certification, we require a List of Critical Components, LoCC for short. This list contains information on safety-critical components of your assembly, such as special components, technical data or regulations. This information is necessary so that we can manufacture your project in accordance with UL certification.

A List of Critical Components contains the following information...

... for PCB:

  • Technical data
  • Specifications

... for components:

  • Manufacturer
  • Part number of the manufacturer (MPN)
  • Technical data
  • Specifications
  • Test mark and certificate of conformity (UL E-file no.)
